There was a demand from the locality and also from the students section to open a Teacher Education Programme here, So, a group of social workers led by “KALNAR MUKH” came forward and took the initiative to establish an Educational complex where a Teacher Training Education will be housed.

The College is managed and run by “KALNAR MUKH” duly registered under Socity Act . The College is established with a view for the purpose of advancement of teaching, research and dissemination of knowledge in Teacher Education Programme i.e. Bachelor in Education Course and also to develop professional skills and competence of persons intending to take up teacher ship as their career.

This College of Education is open to persons of all religions of either gender irrespective of their caste, creed, race, and ethnicity. JRSET College of Education is located ideally on the bank of holy river Ganga with a beautiful campus in the “Kalna Maharaja’s High School” with alll modern and sophisticated infrastructural facilities. It is also easily accessible from Ambika Kalna station on the Bandel-Katwa section of Eastern Railway.

The college campus has a nice environment where teacher and student would ideally groomed physically, mentally, socially, psychologically, intellectually to meet the demand of the modern day society.

The College has a well-stocked library possessing a rich collection of books and journals that cover the B.Ed syllabus as well as reference books in various subjects.
